안녕하세요, 기타리스트 이예은입니다. ^^

제가 지난주에 미국에서 음반을 발매해서 소개해드리러 왔어요.

수록곡들은 주로 70년대 미국 발라드나 팝송으로, 클래식적으로 풀어낸 연주들이에요.

원곡 가수들의 억양과 가사의 느낌을 섬세하게 전달하려고 노력했구요.

마지막 트랙인 He Was Beautiful 은 다들 잘 아시는 Cavatina 에 가수인 Cleo Laine이 가사를 붙인 곡으로, 제 편곡은 노래 버전을 바탕으로 해서 가사의 느낌을 더 담으려고 했어요.

기타리스트 이예은 첫 기타 솔로 앨범 "뷰티풀" 발매 !

70년대 팝 명곡들을 기타로 들을 수 있는 이 앨범은 기타 애호가들에게 특별한 선물이다.

서울대, 매네스음대, 맨하탄음대에서 공부하고 한국인으로는 처음으로 기타 연주 박사학위를 받은 이예은은 이 앨범에서 팝송의 클래식적인 해석을 선보인다. 원곡의 발성과 뉘앙스 등을 섬세한 연주 테크닉으로 재현해내서 마치 기타가 노래하는 듯한 인상을 받게 될 것이다. 그녀의 차분한 성격이 이 앨범에 그대로 반영되어 있기 때문에 평온한 저녁이나 티타임에 잘 어울릴 듯하다.
