In part five of Ray Reussner's "Sound of the Guitar" Ray performs "La Maja de Goya"
by Enrique Granados. His narration and slides give us a glimpse of the famous 1937 Herman Hausser
guitar of Andres Segovia, as well as Ray building the guitar used for this recording that was
modeled after it. The 37 Hauser now resides in the Metropolitan Museum in New York.

Ray built the guitar used in this video after the famous 1937 Herman Hausser of Andres Segovia using
specs of the guitar which is now in the Metropolitan Museum in New York. It is his fourteenth guitar.
Since number twelve, he has made slight variations to suit his taste. This particular guitar #14 may
also soon be available. Contact us through youtube. Only serious offers will be entertained.

Ray studied with Andres Segovia off and on for 20 years and carries on his legacy through an
intimate knowledge of his technique and repertoire. He is also known for his famous and highly
collectible Reuer guitar cases, of which Segovia would never leave home without, having owned
four during his lifetime.

and was chosen to be one of the subjects of a PBS documentary about the 1965 Segovia Master Class.
He has also studied with José Tomas in Spain, and John Williams at London's Royal College of Music.
