  The Cottage by the Lee 는 1950년 아일랜드 작곡가인 Dick Farrelly에 의해 작곡 되었고
  곧 대 히트를 하며 아주 오랜 세월동안 Waltons 의 음악프로그램에 가장 자주 나오는 노래중의 하나가
  되며 세월이 흐르면서도 많은이들에게 불리워지는 아일랜드 민요중에 하나라고 할수 있겠습니다.

   Tis well I know that of ten folk keep wondering
   When in my eyes a far off look they see
   What it can be the cause of all my dreaming
   What is this dream so very dear to me
   And truth to tell this often I go roaming
   In dreams along the road of memory
   To where my heart will find it,s consolation
   Within that lovely by the Lee
   My home sweet home that I fondly cherish
   The dear ones there mean everything to me
   In all this world, if there can be heaven
   I,m sure that it,s in that Cottage of By The Lee

   Tis grand to stand outside that cottage doorway,
   And gaze across the cornfields rich and gold
   To hear the stream go rippling by the meadow,
   Or watch the shepherd calling to his fold.
   From down the lane, that winds behind the garden,
   The balck bird greets the smiling summer morn,
   And as his music echoes o,er the valley
   You smile and bless the day that you were born.
   Yes that,s my dream, my lovely dream of homeland,
   And tho'  I thought a rover I could be,
   It,s soon I found I left my heart behind me,
   Within that lovely Cottage by the Lee.

  난 10명의 고향 사람들이 계속 서성이고 있음을 알죠
  내 눈에 멀어 보여도  그들이 나를 보는것이 보이죠
  내 모든 꿈이 어디서 올까요?
  이 꿈이 내게 아주 정겨운것은 무엇 때문일까요?
  사실은 꿈속에서 먼길을 자주 거닐곤 하죠
  내 마음이 위안을 찾을 그 곳으로
  LEE가 사는 정겨운 오두막집
  내가 소중히 깊이 간직한 나의 행복한 집
  그곳에서 사랑하는 그이는 나의 모든 것이죠
  이 세상에서도 천국이 있다면
  LEE가 사는 바로 그 오두막집이 분명해요.

  그 오두막집 바깓에 서서
  옥수수 밭 넘어 익어가는 금빛을 보며
  목장 옆 흐르는 개울의 잔 물결 소리를 듣고
  자신의 양떼를 부르는 목동을 바라보며
  정원 뒤에서 오는 바람은 길 아래로 돌아 나가고
  찌르레기가 여름 아침을 웃으며 인사를 하고
  그의 노래는 온 계곡에 메아리져 울려 나가지
  당신의 미소와 은총은 예정된 것이구요,
  그래요 그것은 나의 꿈, 나의 사랑스런 고향에의 꿈이죠.
  난 유랑자가 될수도 있다고 생각 했었죠
  그런 마음은 곧 LEE가 살고 있는 정겨운 오두막 집 안에
