Love of My Life" is a ballad by the English rock band Queen from their 1975 album A Night at the Opera.

[1] The song was written by Freddie Mercury about Mary Austin,

with whom he had a long term relationship in the early 1970s.

[2] After performing the song in South America in 1981,

the version from their live album Live Killers reached number 1 in the singles chart in Argentina and Brazil,

and stayed in the charts in Argentina for an entire year.

[3] Freddie Mercury wrote it on the piano and guitar first,

Brian May rearranged the song for acoustic 12-string guitar to facilitate live performances.

Love of my Life는 영국의 락밴드 퀸의 발라드곡으로 1975년 발표한 앨범에 실렸던곡.

리드보컬인 프리디 머큐리가 1970년대초 오랫동안 관계를 가져왔던 Mary Austin에

대해 곡으로 쓴것이다.

1981년 남미에서의 공연 이후 아르헨티나와 브라질에서 싱글차트 넘버 원을 기록했었다.

프레디 머큐리가 처음 피아노와 기타를 위해 쓰고 Brian Mary가 라이브 공연의 편의를 위해

12현 어쿠스틱 기타를 위한 노래로 재 편곡을 하였다.

프레디 머큐리(Freddie Mercury, 1946년 9월 5일~1991년 11월 24일)는

현재 탄자니아의 자치령인 잔지바르에서 태어난 영국의싱어송라이터이다.

퀸의 리드 보컬로 잘 알려져 있으며, 매우 넓은 음역대와 특유의 무대 매너로

대중음악 역사상 남을 보컬 중 하나로 꼽힌다.
