호랑이가 풍뎅이 한 마리를 보고 한심하다는 듯이 중얼거렸다.
조물주는 도대체 무슨 쓸모가 있다고 저런 미물 따위를 만드셨을까.
그 말을 들은 풍뎅이가 호랑이에게 빈정거렸다.
제정신이냐. 발도 두 개나 모자라고 날개조차도 없는 장애자 주제에.

Upon seeing a little beetle, the tiger remarked downwardly,
“Why did the Creator of all things make such a lowly creature of no obvious significance?”
To this the beetle replied,
“Who are you to talk about lowliness? Just look at yourself. You are missing two legs and you don’t even have any wings. In my eyes, it is you who is of imperfect creation!
