스페인의 Alcoy에서 열리는 알함브라 콩쿨은 기타 제작사인
알함브라기타에서 25주년을 기념하여 개최된 콩쿨입니다.
격년제로 열리는 것이 특징인데 올해가 6회째이네요.
물론 스페인의 Alcoy에서 개최되구요 기간은 4월 2일 부터 6일까지
입니다.

1.- Open competition for all guitarist, younger than 35 years old, on 1st April 2002, irrespective of nationality, excluding previous prize winners of this event.
2.- The competition will take place in the main hall of CAJA DE AHORROS DEL MEDITERRANEO (C.A.M.) in Alcoy, Rigoberto Albors Street nº 8, from 2nd to 6th April 2002.
3.- FIRST STAGE:
A public draw will take place on April 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in the main hall of the C.A.M. to determine the order of appearance of the participants, who must be present, for all the contest. Following the established order of appearance entrants will perform, behind closed doors, from 2nd as follows: Compulsory works:
1ª) "MARIA (Gabota)" by Francisco Tarrega
2ª) "ZAPATEADO (three Spanish pieces)" by Joaquín Rodrigo
4.- SECOND STAGE:
Successful participants will perform, during the 4th and 5th: Three works from different eras (epoch) Baroque, Romanticism and Modern (20th and 21st Centuries), with a maximum duration of 20 minutes.
5.- FINAL STAGE:
After stage two, the jury will select and announce the finalist who will perform, in the order established, works of their own choice, not previously played, not to exceed 20 minutes duration. The final stage will take place on April 6th from 7.00 p.m. Duplicate scores of all free choice works (from second and final stages) should be handed to the jury by the competitors prior to their performance.

7.- PRIZES: The following prizes* have been established:
FIRST: 15,000 Euros and a concert in Sevilla with the "Asociación Guitarrística América Martínez."
SECOND: 3,500 Euros.
THIRD: 2,000 Euros.
FINALIST: 1,000 Euros.
These prizes are subject to Spanish tax regulations, so the finalists must present the following document, a photocopy of the Identity Card Number. If they lack this document, they must present a photocopy of the Passport (or any document that proves their identity and nationality if they are CEE citizens), that must be certified with the original one by a Spanish Official Body, and two passport-size photographs.
8.- Time of second and final stages may be modified by the jury.
9.- It is understood that competitors automatically accept the rules of the competition as well as the jury's decision.
10.- Hotel accommodation will be given by Manufacturas Alhambra S.L. to all those guitarists who pass the first stage.
