Hello, everyone. My name is Brian. I am a Korean American and would like to be all your friends since we all love guitar and all.I was asked to introduce myself and talk about my friends here in the U.S. I currently live in LA and go to a graduate school majoring in music. I do study guitar and composition and am not very confident to say I have a talent in it.
I have a great interest in clssical guitar and here in the U.S., like in Korea, we have a lot of wonderful activities as well. Here, at California State University, Northridge and at University of Southern
California, they have a very prestigious classical guitar department.
At CSUN, Dr. Ronald Purcell (student of Andres Segovia) teaches pedagogic classes as well as masterclasses, and at USC, Pepe Romero, Scott Tennant, Bill Kanengiser, Brian Head, James Smith, and all teach there.
Most of my friends are guitarists and composers. Pianists too, but not a whole lot.
Anyhow, I just wanted to let you guys know that I am surprised to see how enthusiastic you all are in Korea and all the events and concerts that go on in Korea. It is just amazing.
It is certainly nice meeting you all and hope in the future, we can all be friends.
More to come next time.
Till then. so long.
Brian from Los Angeles
