이번에 소개할 편곡 악보는 'Richard Rodgers'의 ' Blue Moon' 입니다.
이곡은 1934년 ‘My Funny Valentine’, ‘It Never Entered My Mind’, ‘Have You Met Miss Jones?’, ‘I Didn't Know What Time It Was’, ‘My Romance’ 등의 명콤비 로렌즈 하 트 (Lorenz Hart) 작사에 '리처드 로저스 (Richard Rogers)'가 작곡한 곡으로 동년 '글렌 그레이 Glen Gray'가 이끌었던 '카사 로마 오키스트라 (Casa Loma Orchestra)'가 연주한 곡으로 푸른 달, 또는 쓸쓸한 달이란 뜻의 스탠더드 발라드곡 입니다.
이 곡은 먼저 1949년 'Billy Eckstine'과 'Mel Torme' 에 의해 리바이벌 되어 히트를 하였으며 1961년 영국 'doo-wop (두왑)' 그룹의 'The Marcels'에 의한 싱글 앨범이 국제적으로 히트하여 빌보드핫 100 챠트에 올랐다 합니다.
그리고 그 전에 'Elvis Presley'도 1956년 그의 앨범 속에 삽입하여 이곡이 더욱 알려지게 되었다 하네요.
