이번 소개할 편곡 악보는 은 그 유명한 '브람스'의 '헝가리안 무곡 제5번' 입니다.

 

브람스가 20세 때인 1853년 헝가리 바이올리니스트인 레미니와 연주 여행을 하게 되는데,  이 당시 레메니에 의해 헝가리 음악을 배우게 되며 헝가리 무곡에 관심을 갖게 됩니다.

 

'헝가리 무곡'은 4권 총 21곡으로 이중  제1, 제3, 제5, 제6번 곡이 가장 유명하며 이번 소개한 곡이 제5번 곡입니다.

 

헝가리 무곡'은 창작 곡이냐에 대한 시비가 있었던 곡으로 헝가리적 요소가 강하게 배어나는 작품으로,  브람스도 그것을 염려해서인지 작곡이 아닌 편곡으로 기재하였다고 합니다.


헝가리의 대표적인 1/2박자의 민속 무곡 차르다시 형태의 마자르 선율을 이용하여 헝가리 집시음악의 선율과 화성, 리듬 등을 구사하여 민속음악을 예술음악의 차원까지 높인곡으로 평가 받고 있습니다.

 

겹세도막 형식으로  구성되어 있으며 경쾌하고 힘찬 가락으로 되어 있고,  연탄곡보다는 관현악곡으로 편곡되어 많이 연주되고 있습니다.
