이번에 소개할 편곡 악보는 '쇼팽'의 '즉흥환상곡' 중 Largo - Moderato' 부분 입니다.
이곡은 1834년 '쇼팽'의 나이 24세 때 파리에서 완성된 피아노 독주곡으로 그 무렵 '쇼팽'은 파리에서 안정된 기반을 잡아 물질적으로 풍족한 생활을 누리고 있었으며 또한 음악적 감수성이 풍부한 '델피나 포토츠카' 백작 부인과 교류하며 정서적으로도 충만함을 느끼고 있었습니다.
이 곡은 이처럼 '쇼팽'의 삶이 풍요롭고 안정적이던 시기에 작곡되었으나 '쇼팽'이 이곡의 출판을 원하지 않았기 때문에 그의 생전에는 이 곡이 세상에 알려지지 않았으며 결국 '쇼팽' 사후인 1855년, '쇼팽'의 절친한 친구였던 '율리안 폰타나'에 의해 초판이 출판되었고, 그 이후로 이 곡은 '쇼팽'이 작곡한 4개의 즉흥곡 중 대중들에게 가장 사랑받는 곡이 되었습니다.
전체곡의 구조는 A-B-A'의 3부 형식을 취하고 있는데 긴장감을 조성하며 빠르게 상행하는 c#단조의 선율로 시작되는 A 부분과 D♭장조로 전조된 선율이 앞부분과 대조를 이루며 부드럽게 이어지는 B 부분, c#단조의 속도감 넘치는 격정적 선율의 A' 로 끝을 맺게 되는데 이번 편곡에서는 퓰륫, 바이올린 등 악기에서 많이 연주하는 B부분에 해당되는 'Largo-Moderato Cantabile' 부분을 편곡 하였습니다.
